I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
